VENUE 808 - Vendor Insurance Requirements

It is standard practice for all event venues to have a COI on file for each vendor providing services in the space. We require COIs at least 1 month before your event to ensure there are no last-minute issues for you to stress about. Once your vendor supplies you with a PDF copy of their COI, you can email all of them to Katie@socal-venues.com

This is a great thing to request from your vendors as soon as you book their services. Get it out of the way! Many local vendors (particularly our preferred vendors) already have COIs (with all SoCal Venues named additionally insured) on file with us. Feel free to check with us or your vendor before they request a new one from their insurance company. Unfortunately, they're only valid for a year, so we're constantly keeping things up to date.

Start with Rentals and a DJ. Photos/Videos, Flowers, Decor, etc. are still important, but they come with less liability for all parties involved.

Day-Of Policy:

Day-Of Insurance is required when a friend of family member is DJing, providing your own furnishing, etc. It's actually very affordable through multiple reputable websites, as well as your personal insurance provider.

  3. $5,000 medical expenses (any one person) 

  4. $1,000,000 personal and adv injury 

  5. $2,000,000 general aggregate 

  6. $2,000,000 products comp/op agg 

  7. Primary and Non-Contributory 

  8. Waiver of Subrogation 

  9. Carrier AM Best Rating 

  10. Additional insured coverage per Forms CG2010 and CG2037.


Workers Compensation (not applicable if vendor is a sole proprietor)

  1. EL Each Accident 

  2. EL Disease Policy Limit 

  3. EL Disease Each Accident 

  4. Waiver of Subrogation 

  5. Carrier AM Best Rating 

  6. State Fund is acceptable
